How does a kitchen hood fire suppression system work?

Flexible sensor tubing can easily be installed directly inside the extractor hood - directly above the cooking areas. The tubing is pressurized with dry nitrogen to 16 bar during service. The dynamics of pressurization make tubing more reactive to heat.

If a flame-up occurs, the heat of fire causes the pressurized sensor tube to burst at the hottest spot (approx. 175℃).

The sudden tube depressurization activates the special pressure differential valve, which instantly floods the cooking area with class F extinguishing agent. The fire was quickly suppressed just moments after it started, minimizing the risk of damage and downtime.
